Original Indie-Folk music
Solo - duo - trio ...or the whole 5-piece kit and kaboodle!
From Canberra’s indie-folk scene, Daisy Chain delivers poetic, heartfelt songs about identity, connection and the state of the world. Combining harmonies reminiscent of the Seekers and grooves in the folk-rock spirit of Jenny Morris, Daisy Chain will make you think and feel deeply and give you comfort. Whether performing solo or in a band of up to 5 members – Daisy Chain takes the vibe of sixties storytelling folk-rock and modernises it with the stories of today.
We performed at the Quinty and Majors Creek Folk Festivals in 2025 and as part of 'It Takes a Village' in Cobargo in February 2026.
We released our debut album in November 2025. It is a live in studio album with all five band members playing.
At the heart of Daisy Chain is singer-songwriter Jo Evans, whose career in environmental policy—focused on climate change—deeply informs her songwriting. Inspired by the Buddhist philosophy of Thich Nhat Hanh and deep ecology thinkers such as Joanna Macy, John Seed, and Pat Fleming, Jo creates music that reflects on today’s world honestly while offering hope, connection and acceptance.
Daisy Chain wants to support the local and Australian music industry. Their debut album was recorded with Lake City Recording (Canberra) and their music is released through GYRO Stream (Australia).
